One of the Twitter responses says it all: “Congrats, @AnnCoulter, you’ve done the impossible. People are actually defending an airline.”
Delta Air Lines is getting massive approval on social media for something it did while from the home office. The airline took to Twitter on Sunday to defend itself after it was the recipient of a Twitter tirade by conservative columnist Ann Coulter. Delta allegedly gave her “carefully chosen” seat to another passenger. Coulter went after Delta with guns blazing and even posted a picture of the passenger that she says got her seat.
Delta had this to say in reply:
It’s unusual in this day and age for airlines to get positive support on social media, they have certainly been on the wrong end of public sentiment lately. But just look at the praise the airline received.
Delta responded to the support:
Coulter didn’t let it go and replied:
According to CNBC, Coulter had initially booked a window seat and then changed it to an aisle seat within 24 hours of departure. Apparently, the airline moved her back to a window seat in the same row so that they could accommodate other passengers and deal with “some confusion over seating assignments.” Coulter started the tirade on social media and criticized the airline, its workers, its union and even the wifi.
But the praise for Delta just kept coming:
Are you ready to book your next flight with Delta?
