With the bombardment of negative news and terrible polls, President Trump has had a rough time getting his ratings up. However, despite seeing various low ratings, Trump can take pride in one thing: his prior Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, is doing worse!
According to the Bloomberg National Poll, Clinton is favored by only 39 percent of Americans while President Trump is a whopping two percent more. Bloomberg began following Clinton in September of 2009 and stated that this number is her second-lowest score since then.
Since her loss of the Presidential election, Clinton has experienced many of those who voted for her lose their positive view of her. Bloomberg reports on this saying the following:
“More than a fifth of Clinton voters say they have an unfavorable view of her. By comparison, just 8 percent of likely Clinton voters felt that way in the final Bloomberg poll before the election, and just 6 percent of Trump’s voters now say they view him unfavorably.”
When questioned about the survey, polled citizens denied their lack of approval had anything to do with Clinton losing the election. However, many polled did talk about their frustration with not knowing how to combat Trump and the Republicans during his campaign. Many admitted that they would have voted for Bernie Sanders happily, but since Clinton got in, they voted for the lesser of two evils…her.
Chris Leininger is an insurance agent from Fountain Valley, California who leans Democratic in her Independent voting status. When commenting on the election, she expressed her frustration saying, “She did not feel authentic or genuine to me. She was hard to like.”
Clinton’s lowest point was when Bloomberg polled in September 2015 and found that she was at 38 percent. This was during her battle with Bernie Sanders just before the primary ballots went out and when her private email server debacle grew.
