Chelsea Clinton might have made a fool of herself after she made a statement that she may have misunderstood. Steve Bannon reportedly told a reporter that White House Briefings weren’t happening on screen as much because “Sean got fatter.” Chelsea Clinton apparently didn’t get the joke.
A researcher named Brian Klaas retweeted an article by Atlantic that reported on the death of White House briefings in the current administration. Klaas went on to criticize the part when Bannon told a reporter that the reason why was Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s weight.
Clinton of course couldn’t stay quiet after such a shaming statement:
Even though twitter users stated they believed Bannon was making a joke, Ms. Clinton still held to her first tweet:
It was hopeful that the Tuesday’s press briefing would reveal some more information, but it was not mentioned. Even with Matt Negrin’s post on Twitter trying to get a WH reporter to ask about the comment in exchange for $45 didn’t do the trick. Spicer did say that the reason for less on screen briefings was because reporters can now get access nearly 24/7.
