Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle left the stage at a book promotional event in California after being heckled by the attendees, according to The Hill.
According to The Hill, the first son and presidential advisor couple had been in Los Angeles at an event hosted by Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on UCLA’s campus when things went bad as the attendees’ behavior got so bad that the Q&A portion of the event was canceled.
Trump Jr. explained that “the reason oftentimes it doesn’t make sense to do the Q&A is not because we’re not willing to talk about the questions, cause we do.
“No. It’s because people hijack it with nonsense looking to go for some sort of sound bite. You have people spreading nonsense, spreading hate, trying to take over the room,” he continued according to The Hill.
Soon after the pair called off the question and answers some of those in attendance began to shout “Q&A” to which Guilfoyle reportedly pushed back at the hecklers, saying: “No, it’s because you’re not making your parents proud by being rude and disruptive and discourteous.”
“We are happy to answer a question. Respect the people around you so that they can hear,” she continued.
“Let me tell you something, I bet you engage and go on online dating because you’re impressing no one here to get a date in person,” she also reportedly said to hecklers before she and Trump Jr. eventually walked offstage.
Nicholas Fuentes, who reportedly self-identifies as an “American Nationalist,” retweeted footage of the attendees breaking into boos and “America first” chants as the couple left the Q&A.

Fuentes, who is the host of his own YouTube show called “America First,” tweeted that his and the group’s “problem is not with” Trump Jr., whom he labeled “a patriot,” but with Kirk, the founder of the hosting event.

A Turning Point USA spokesperson told The Hill that it was the “organization’s decision to cancel the Q&A portion days before after we were made aware of a pre-planned effort to disrupt the event.”
“The event was not cut short or ended early, as in lieu of the Q&A we simply extended the amount of time given to our VIP’s for their remarks,” the spokesperson added.
