Fox News anchor claims Trump is ‘bullying journalists’

Fox News Host Julie Banderas had harsh words for President Donald Trump after he called out two of her colleagues at Fox saying on Sunday that they had “even less understanding of the Wall negotiations than the folks at FAKE NEWS CNN & NBC!”

Banderas tweeted a reply to the president, saying that his comments do not reflect how freedom of the press should work, and that he is bullying journalists.

“We can and do stand plenty of criticism every day which is fine coming from everyday viewers,” Banderas tweeted early on Monday. “Our jobs are not meant to please others,” But the office of the @POTUS ought not to be the one lashing out. That’s not how this country works. That’s not how Freedom of the Press works.

“By going on Twitter and insulting two of our journalists @realDonaldTrump is putting a target on their backs. In turn his followers will then attack @johnrobertsFox and @GillianHTurner in support on Twitter. Bullying journalists is not Presidential. Period.”

The president’s ire was pointed at Fox News’ White House Correspondent John Roberts and Washington Correspondent Gillian Turner in a Sunday tweet.

“Never thought I’d say this but I think @johnrobertsFox and @GillianHTurner @FoxNews have even less understanding of the Wall negotiations than the folks at FAKE NEWS CNN & NBC!” the President tweeted on Sunday.

He added: “Look to final results! Don’t know how my poll numbers are so good, especially up 19% with Hispanics?”

Trump has been previously known to favor the news giant over many networks that he regularly calls “fake news.”

It has been well known that the president prefers to watch Fox News, often quoting its guests and anchors:

“Thank you to Brit,” Trump said on Sunday, as he retweeted Fox host Brit Hume. “This is a very big deal in Europe. Fake News is the Enemy of the People!

And on Monday, the president quoted “Fox and Friends” guest Deroy Murdock:

“In the Media’s effort to destroy the President, they are actually destroying themselves. Given all of the tremendous headwinds this President has faced, it’s amazing he has accomplished so much.” DEROY MURDOCK @foxandfriends I agree!
