Hillary Clinton needs to get away from the blame game and face reality.
She alone is responsible for the historic upset loss she suffered in the presidential election. That was the message sent out from a top aide to President-elect Donald Trump who says Democrat Clinton lost the election by presenting a false front about her assent to power.
Clinton has tried to pin her failed White House bid on FBI Director James Comey. But the former secretary of state needs to look at herself for answers, according to Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, who was on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Sunday. Watch the video here:
From The Hill:
I think it’s unfortunate for [former] Secretary [of State] Clinton, who is a woman of enormous gifts and talents. And she should be commended for putting herself out there and running for president twice.
I just can’t believe it’s always somebody else’s fault. Sometimes you just have to take a look in the mirror and reflect on what went wrong.
Clinton, the DNC, all liberals and the mainstream media simply missed what American voters really want in a president.
What about the fact that they just got it wrong? What about the fact they weren’t in touch with Americans, and the culture zeitgeist, and what motivates many Americans?
They misread America. They did not have her in red states. They were pretending they were going to turn red blue. They were pretending.
Clinton on Saturday blamed her electoral defeat on Comey during a call with her campaign’s top donors, according to The Hill.
[O]ur analysis is that Comey’s letter raising doubts that were groundless, baseless, proven to be, stopped our momentum.
Comey sent Congress a letter less than two weeks before election day. He informed Congress that the FBI found emails potentially related to Clinton’s use of a private email server while serving as secretary of state. The new emails were found on a computer of former Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-NY. Weiner is the estranged husband of Clinton top aide and confidant Huma Abedin.
That notice of a renewed investigation into Clinton fueled media attention and new attacks from Trump. Conway rebutted Clinton’s excuse about the loss.
They were quoted (before the letter) on (Meet the Press) and others saying, ‘Oh, people have already decided. People have already incorporated the email scandal into their voting decision.’ Now they’re going back and saying (Comey) had an impact.
What about the fact that people felt they had nothing in common, no connective tissue, with Hillary Clinton?
Clinton and her crooked cronies started the blame game as soon as key swing states were called in Trump’s favor election night. She is a failed politician who got caught trying to cheat the American people. Voters recognized this and responded by the millions to counter her dirty campaign machine.
Clinton lost fair and square. American voters put an exclamation point on that loss.
