Ingraham’s Show Is Taking A Hit After Hogg’s Call for Censorship

The online travel website TripAdvisor just announced that they will stop advertising on Laura Ingraham’s show on the Fox News Network. Ingraham posted a critical tweet about David Hogg, one of the vocal Parkland, Fla. high school students since the horrific shooting there on February 14th.

A company spokesperson  for the travel website said in a statement that the company doesn’t “condone the inappropriate comments made by this broadcaster.

”In our view, these statements focused on a high school student cross the line of decency. As such, we have made a decision to stop advertising on that program,” the spokesperson said.

Laura Ingraham on Wednesday shared a Daily Wire story that reported the Parkland student was rejected from four colleges.

“David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates,)” Ingraham tweeted.

Hogg has become one of the most vocal advocates for gun control since surviving the shooting at his high school. He replied a few hours after Ingraham’s tweet asking who the Fox News host’s biggest advertisers were. Then he tweeted out a list of those advertisers and directed people to contact those companies.

TripAdvisor was not alone in pulling their advertisements. Rachael Ray’s pet food brand Nutrish also said it was in the process of removing its ads from the Fox News show. And the online shopping site Wayfair will be pulling their commercials as well.

Hogg helped to organize and lead the “March for Our Lives” rally Saturday in Washington, D.C., and across the nation, and has been warning lawmakers that they will be voted out of office if they don’t pass new gun laws. He has been the object of intense criticism from some on the right. Breitbart News and InfoWars has even compared him to Adolf Hitler.

Ingraham later apologized “for any hurt or upset” she caused Hogg in a pair of Thursday afternoon tweets:
