First came the announcement from Comey that he was reopening the investigation. Then, the change in the polls that put Trump within bowshot of victory. Then came the inevitable win and the Trump juggernaut rolled across the finish line to claim victory on Tuesday. Democrats have not had a lot of happy news as of late.
Well, it just got worse. Heat Street is reporting that Immigration Canada’s website has crashed due to the massive number of people trying to access the site in the early morning hours after the election.
Democrats trying to flee America because of one man might seem laughable, but to a political ideology that is bases solely on feelings, it is perfectly rational. Take a look:

CNBC noted how expensive and time-consuming the process would be. Costs range from $800 to $8,000 when you combine the application fees and attorney costs. Then as far as time goes, anywhere from six to 96 months of wait time. And that doesn’t even cover the subjects of taxes, citizenship, cost of living and moving. So everyone wanting to run away tomorrow, sit back and take a calming breath.
“But as a Canadian living in the U.S., I have bad news for you. There’s no escape,” writes Fusion’s Anita Li.
Living in Canada will be more like living in Trump’s America than you might think, she goes on to say. Radio and Television quotas have been changed, making it easier to get American programming. You’ll still see him on the news every night. Canadian jobs that would be lost by the dissolution of NAFTA mean that the economy might tank.
“You can run, but you can’t hide,” Li added.
