Is it possible that we will have another billionaire known for a reality show in the White House? Dallas Mavericks owner and billionaire Mark Cuban says he is “considering” running for president.
Cuban was interviewed on the Viewpoint podcast by former state lawmaker Bakari Sellers (D-S.C.) about running.
“Mark, are you considering running for president of the United States?” Sellers asked.
“Yes. Considering, yes,” Cuban replied. “Ready to commit to it, no.”
The no-nonsense entrepreneur now known for his work on “Shark Tank, said that if he felt he could provide solutions to issues like tax reform, a presidential campaign would make “perfect sense.”
“If it comes down to, do I think I can win because I can convince more people to vote for me?’ Then no, I won’t run,” Cuban said. He also added that he would not likely be on the campaign trail in the midst of the 2018 midterm elections.
The controversial “Maverick” has repeatedly floated the idea of a presidential bid against Trump. They have been in a feud in the past, although Cuban had initially said that he would consider being Trump’s running mate.
Public Policy Polling revealed in August that if Cuban ran as a Democrat, he would defeat Trump in a hypothetical 2020 presidential election.
Would you vote for Mark Cuban?
