Mark Cuban Targets Trump’s Ignorance In Russia Conspiracy

Dallas Mavericks owner and “Shark Tank” star Mark Cuban showed his support for Trump on the Russian conspiracy in a unique way. On Saturday, Cuban sent out a series of Tweets stating his opinion on the matter, and one of which basically claimed that Trump does not have the mental capability to come up with such a scheme.

In fact, Cuban emphasized Trump’s ignorance throughout his campaign several times, posting in more than one tweet that Trump “had no clue” that Russians were involved. He portrays President Trump as a man run by greed with little insight into what was going on around him.

Cuban took one more jab at the President’s competence in response to replies from author Melissa Jo Peltier. Peltier agreed that “Trump is not a strategic thinker,” but believes that Trump knew his advisors were up to something and kept quiet:

Although Cuban’s jabs at Trump’s mental abilities can seem offensive, it appears that they work in his favor when it comes to the Russia controversy.

The relationship between Cuban and Trump is an interesting one. Trump himself has referenced Cuban many times on his Twitter page. He has referred to Cuban as “dopey” multiple times, and has even taken hits at his team:

Regardless of the Twitter trash talk, Cuban expressed support for Trump during the first part of the election:

But after his allegiance switched to Clinton, Trump lashed out and attacked Cuban’s competency as well:

Although the bold billionaires don’t always see eye-to-eye, Cuban expressed his “inspiration” from Trump’s presidency in a recent interview with Breitbart News Daily, and humbly admits that he learns from people who disagree with him:

‘I’m trying to be open-minded and see what works and what doesn’t work,’ he said. ‘A lot of my – I wouldn’t call them political aspirations, but more willingness to get out there and talk more about these things – is just by my desire to learn and my desire to do what’s best for the country.’

This doesn’t mean, however, that he is completely supportive of the way Trump chooses to operate:

I think there’s a lot of things that we’re on the same page about, but those are more conservative values. I think than they are Donald Trump values. Where I disagree with him vehemently is that he doesn’t do a good job of communicating, and I don’t think he has great leadership skills.

It seems Cuban’s desire for truth and justice “trumps” his beef with the President when it comes to issues like the Russia conspiracy. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what unfolds between the billionaires in the next couple of weeks.
