Maxine Waters admits “I don’t have the proof” before making wild new claim

Maxine Waters has made some outlandish comments regarding President Trump and his administration in the past. But this latest comment is sure to stir up a great deal of backlash.

The House Financial Services Committee Chairman said that former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort was “sent” by the Russians to help insure an electoral victory that would pay dividends to the Kremlin in the form of lessened sanctions.

Maxine Waters was speaking with Chris Hayes from MSNBC. The Democrat from Los Angeles lashed out at Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and Trump for planning to lift some of sanctions against Russia.

Waters tweeted this regarding her suspicions: “No surprise the FBI questioned Trump’s allegiance to US! He meets w/ Putin 5 times in secret w/ no readout; gave Russians classified info in WH; disregarded US intel on Russia; praised Putin’s election; lies abt his deals in Russia. Is there any question Trump is a Russian agent?”

She followed that tweet with another: “Please. No one should wonder why Manafort gave polling data to Russians. The only reason Russians wanted this info was to use it against H. Clinton in support of Trump. Why do you think Manafort w/ all his ties to Russia & Ukraine was in the campaign to begin with? Stay woke!”

Waters talked with Hayes about the positive effect the decision will have on Russian aluminum oligarch Oleg Vladimirovich Deripaska.

“Our president has said he believes the sanctions should be lifted,” she said. “Mnuchin is of course guided by this president.”

Waters went on to say the ongoing discussions in the White House are “all part of a relationship that they have with Russia and with Putin and with the oligarchs.”
