Vocal Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters didn’t shy away from a response after former FBI Director James Comey released his opening statement prior to his big testimony before Congress. Waters released her opinion via Twitter as seen below:
Waters was clearly jabbing on President Trump’s questionable history with allegations of sexual assault. During Trump’s campaign for the presidency, several women stepped out and accused Donald Trump of sexual assault after an audio was released of him talking about groping and kissing women. The unique timing of these women’s accusation is odd, but also not something to simply shrug off.
In Comey’s testimony, he revealed that he told Attorney General Jeff Sessions he wanted to “prevent any future direct communication between the president and [himself].” The former director’s testimony will continue on until roughly four on Thursday at which time major events could begin to unfold.
Comey is expected to confirm reports that the President pushed him to “let go” of the probing of Michael Flynn.
Do you think the media is out to get President Trump regardless of what happens? What do you think will happen at the end of today? Let us know in the comments below!
