As the press frenzy continues Robert Mueller’s spokesperson has finally come out and made a statement about some of the new stories circulating about the Russia probe.
A spokesperson for the special counsel said
“What I have been telling all reporters is that many stories about our investigation have been inaccurate,” the Mueller spokesperson said. “Be very cautious about any source that claims to have knowledge about our investigation and dig deep into what they claim before reporting on it. If another outlet reports something, don’t run with it unless you have your own sourcing to back it up.”
We don’t exactly which story the special counsel’s office is discussing but the statement was released after the McClatchy Report said on Friday Mueller has evidence that Michael Cohen traveled to Prague in 2016 as claimed by the Steele dossier.
On Friday the story about the supposed Prague trip flew through liberal news organizations however no one had confirmed the story.
On Saturday Mr. Cohen tweeted that the McClatchy story was “bad information and bad reporting.” Cohen also released information that showed he was in California when the supposed trip occurred.
Here is just another example of a hit piece done by a left-wing news organization. Media outlets want to bash alternative news organizations and then you see them pulling crap like this.
