Amid the investigation into Russian election meddling, President Trump’s former chief of staff Reince Priebus and White House counsel Don McGahn both hired a lawyer.
According to Law360, the two hired William Burck, a partner at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP.
Special counsel Robert Mueller has been in the news recently for telling the White House that six senior and former aides to Trump will be interviewed as part of the federal investigation into the Russian election meddling and involvement in Trump’s campaign.
Law360 went on to report that McGahn will be questioned about the firing of FBI Director James Comey earlier this year.
They went on to say that Priebus will be asked about any details he knows in relation Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting last June with a Russian lawyer.
Mueller’s team will also be interviewing former White House press secretary Sean Spicer and Hope Hicks, Trump’s adviser and interim communications director.
What are your thoughts? Do you think that Mueller will finally find evidence that Russia was involved in Trump’s presidential campaign and election?
