President Donald Trump launched his “Made in America Week” campaign with products made in every state in America on display. He is promoting his America First agenda that he declared in his inauguration speech when he said, “We will buy American, and we will hire American.”
But as President Trump was calling attention to the importance of buying American as a way to ensure that fellow citizens continue to have jobs, MSNBC was trolling Trump live with a chyron that said that many Trump-branded products are made in other countries. Trump’s men’s clothing has been made in Mexico and China. He has used steel and aluminum in his buildings from China. And much of the first daughter’s fashion line is made by low-wage workers in countries like Bangladesh, Indonesia, and China.
In the pictures below, you can see the president proudly wear a Stetson cowboy hat, take a swing with an American made Marucci baseball bat, admire a front loader made by Caterpillar and give a thumbs up from an American made fire truck.
Is this the height of hypocrisy? Should MSNBC have trolled the president on live TV? Watch the video clip below. What are your thoughts?
