Monday afternoon was a very special occasion for a few of our military members as they got the chance to sit down with President Trump and chat over lunch.
The conversation was easy going and light for the majority of the time. Trump’s conversation was seasoned with jokes and questions about the Super Bowl. However, the important part of the lunch was not hearing Trump speak, but seeing him with our military.

As the conversation went on, President Trump asked one soldier if he was going to “make a career” out of the military. Despite being a big question, the soldier simply replied, “Still deciding right now, sir.”
Here’s the kicker. Although I understand what he meant, Trump responded with a unique and possibly controversial answer:
“Come on, you have to stay. You’ll like it better with me there. You’ll see.”
Trump must have liked that question because he then went to each person at the table and asked them the same question. After the lunch concluded, Trump gave a speech to the U.S. Central Command which praised the military members and their families:
“I want every military family to know that our administration is at your service. We stand with you 100 percent. We will never, ever let you down.”
As he began to conclude his remarks, President Trump said it was his “highest duty” to protect the men and women serving our country. For being a man who has a lot of people against him, he sure is doing a lot to try and look good.
