Trump’s Scalia Replacement but when THIS comes out about his past it will have Dems Fuming

Not all conservatives liked Trump, but for the most part, they knew that he was planning to place conservative judges in the Supreme Court. For that reason, many people had faith in him. However, that was just a theory until now.

Judge Neil M. Gorsuch has recently been revealed as President Trump’s leading contender for the Supreme Court nomination. Judge Gorsuch is most well-known for fighting for religious liberty rights and fighting against Obamacare.

Trump released a list during his presidential campaign where he highlighted several judges who he would appoint. This won many of the hearts of the conservatives who were on the edge with Trump. That list dwindled down to 21 potential candidates of whom Gorsuch was one.

Although Gorsuch is not an official choice yet, he does have the correct qualifications. He is currently serving in Denver, Colorado with the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. For many, he seems to hold the same values as the late Justice Antonin Scalia. His devotion to truth and focusing on the original constitution are unparalleled.

“He is very bright, well-respected and quite personable,” said lawyer John Malcolm. “And there’s no question he would not be as contentious as some others.”

The LA Times addressed two other judges that seemed to be in the running but have since been left behind. They reported:

“Until recently, the two top contenders for the first Supreme Court nomination by Trump were believed to be Judge William H. Pryor Jr. of Alabama, who serves on the U.S. 11th Circuit Court in Atlanta, and Judge Diane Sykes of Wisconsin, who serves on the U.S. 7th Circuit Court in Chicago. Trump mentioned them in a Republican debate after Scalia died.”

LA Times went on to report that Pryor was attacked for obvious reasons by liberals but it wasn’t until 2011 that he drew much criticism from the right side as well. “[Pryor] signed on to an 11th Circuit opinion by liberal Judge Rosemary Barkett upholding a sex-discrimination complaint filed by a transgender state employee in Georgia,” LA Times reported.

The decision to go along with that seemed to hurt him more than he could have imagined and quite possibly could be the reason that he is now being overlooked by the Trump administration. Only time will tell, but we do know that Gorsuch doesn’t have any records of extremely negative comments and for that reason, we believe he will be the chosen judge.

What are your thoughts on Judge Gorsuch? Do you think he will be Trump’s pick? Let us know why in the comments below!
