This morning in Bethlehem the President made a public statement in the presence of the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Police in Manchester is now reporting that 22 are dead and at least 59 have were injured after a suicide bomber detonated a device at the end of an Ariana Grande concert Monday.
During his remarks the President said:
“So many young, beautiful, innocent people living and enjoying their lives murdered by evil losers in life,” Trump said. “I won’t call them (attackers) monsters because they would like that term. They would think that’s a great name. I will call them, from now on, losers, because that’s what they are, they’re losers.”
Press Secretary Sean Spicer did release an official statement as well as Ariana Grande.

I know many of you “never trumpers” aren’t going to like this but, there was some serious symbolism in that address today. The fact that the President made those comments in Bethlehem (a very hotly contested city) and jointly with the President of the Palestinian is a big deal. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is showing quite a bit of bravery himself appearing with the President to condemn terror. Many in his country despise the US for its relationship to Israel and to stand there with a US President that is condemning an attack on the West hurts him political.
Secondly, the President used his candid speech to speak about the terrorist. Mr. Trump is no statesmen and never will be, but in his way, he told it as it was and candidly bashed those that would see our way of life cease.
This was an awful event and Ariana you have nothing to apologize for just don’t stop performing concerts; don’t let them win!
