A recent report coming from Bloomberg and The Hill claims that Mueller is trying to buy time before making any big announcements.
The news outlet is claiming that current officials said, Mueller, is going to hold off on announcing obstruction charges because it could cause a witness to become “less cooperative.”
According to Bloomberg, the obstruction part of the investigation should end with the testimony of President Trump and Donald Trump Jr.
The report hints that it appears the collusion aspect is finishing up and Mueller is now focusing on obstruction. The way Bloomberg writes the information from their sources it appears collusion doesn’t seem to be on the radar anymore and they are focusing on “obstruction.” Bloomberg reports:
When it comes to the obstruction portion of the investigation, Mueller is said to be focused on three main episodes: Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey last May; the drafting of a misleading statement about the purpose of a June 2016 meeting between Don Jr., Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and a group of Russians at Trump Tower; and the disclosure that Trump considered firing Mueller last June.
Mueller’s team of FBI agents and prosecutors has already interviewed people who could provide firsthand knowledge of possible obstruction of justice, including Comey, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and National Security Agency Director Michael Rogers.
Now, Mueller is expected to investigate who hacked the DNC servers which would be really interesting because not one federal agency searched the servers, they used a Ukrainian contractor.
Do you think Mueller will search the actual DNC servers?
