A new book called, “Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign” revealed that Hillary Clinton apologized to former President Obama after she lost the election to now President Trump.
Amie Parnes of The Hill and Jonathan Allen of Sidewire wrote the book with one section revealing that the former Democratic presidential nominee spoke with Former President Obama right after congratulating President Trump.
After the big win for Trump, Mrs. Clinton finally accepted her loss and called Trump to congratulate him. On the call, Mrs. Clinton informed Trump that she would be “supportive of the country’s success. And that means [his] success as president.”
After the phone call ended, Mrs. Clinton received word from her aide, Huma Abedin, that the President was on the phone for her. “it’s the president,” Abedin told Clinton as she handed over the phone. As Mrs. Clinton picked up the phone, she realized that she had not only let down herself and the party, but the president as well. According to the book, she simply said, “Mr. President, I’m sorry.”
Well she may be sorry, many in the country are thrilled that Clinton didn’t make the cut for President. But many are also saying that the presidential election this year was an embarrassment to all of America. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below!
