Axios reported the story calling the meeting a “show of solidarity” between the controversial leadership of the Justice Department. They have both been the focus of intense criticism from President Trump and reportedly have been close to being fired.
Axios founder Jim Vandehei tweeted, “Sources close to the situation say today feels different than Trump’s usual rages. Sessions’ allies are deeply concerned and Trump is totally fed up with his AG.”
