As President Donald Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi battle it out to see who will receive their desired funding agenda for the upcoming year. The president took a pointed jab at the speaker via Twitter when he tweeted his remarks about Pelosi’s home district on Sunday:
“Nancy Pelosi has behaved so irrationally & has gone so far to the left that she has now officially become a Radical Democrat.
“She is so petrified of the ‘lefties’ in her party that she has lost control…And by the way, clean up the streets in San Francisco, they are disgusting!”

San Francisco Mayor London Breed didn’t appreciate Trump’s comments, and said as much in her response to the president:
“We are cleaning the streets – just like @SpeakerPelosi is cleaning up after the mess that is your presidency,” Breed tweeted.

The San Francisco Mayor didn’t end her comments there, though. While talking with a local reporter, Breed again addressed the president’s comments:
“Unfortunately, we know that there is not only a mess in D.C. right now, but it’s all over the country,” Breed said in an interview with local ABC7, San Francisco.
“There are people who haven’t even gotten a paycheck in over 30 days; This is just insane that he would criticize a city he’s supposed to represent.”
“Either you’re the president of all of the United States or you’re just choosing to be the president of a few.”
“We are a part of the United States. We are an important part of the United States, the city and county of San Francisco, and are doing everything we can to take care of the residents and the challenges that exist
“But we will definitely continue to try and bring people together and not do, sadly, what our president has done, and that divides us.”
