Sen. Lindsey Graham took a stab at Hillary Clinton on Thursday when he stated that he believed operatives from her campaign emailed the Justice Department during the email investigation.
The Senator said he had “reason to believe” communications were there and that he wanted to see them revealed to the Senate Judiciary Committee:
“If there was a communication to the Department of Justice about an ongoing investigation from people who are the subject of the investigation, I want to know that.”
Ironically, Graham’s claims are coming right as President Trump is being tagged with obstructing the Flynn investigation as seen in a memo of the former FBI director. Graham also mentioned the newly appointed Robert Mueller as a special counsel to look over Trump-Russia ties.
The Senator wrapped it up saying that he hadn’t seen any evidence that would prove President Trump participated in criminal activities. He also stated that the bringing on a special counsel “knocks Congress out of the game for all practical purposes.”
The Senator went on to say, “Now I think the public will be one of the biggest losers of this decision.” He was referring to the fact that public hearings with Comey and like people will doubtfully happen. Watch the full interview below:
