Donald Trump received a huge boost by a couple of Patriots. Literally.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick endorsed Donald Trump Monday, the real estate mogul said at a rally in New Hampshire.
“He called today and said, ‘Donald, I support you, you’re my friend, and I voted for you,’” Trump told the crowd.
The billionaire businessman went on to say that he received a letter from Belichick announcing his endorsement. While Trump has a large number of celebrity endorsements so far, these latest endorsements may be the highest profile ones yet. That letter read as follows:
Congratulations on a tremendous campaign. You have dealt with an unbelievable slanted and negative media and have come out beautifully. You’ve proved to be the ultimate competitor and fighter. Your leadership is amazing. I have always had tremendous respect for you, but the toughness and perseverance you have displayed over the past year is remarkable. Hopefully tomorrow’s elections results will give the opportunity to Make America Great Again. Best wishes for great results tomorrow, Bill Belichick.

Other celebrities that have endorsed Trump are John Voight, Scott Baio, Gene Simmons, John Ratzenberger and Loretta Lynn. For those voters who take stock in what celebrities think, this could play a large part in voter participation on Tuesday.
For many more, however, it may not sway their vote, but rather just reinforce the decision they have already made.
