It will come as no surprise, Trump is responding to Hillary Clinton’s criticism of his debut speech at the United Nations. The president aimed at Hillary (and Bill), blaming the former secretary of State and president for North Korea’s nuclear advances.
“After allowing North Korea to research and build Nukes while Secretary of State (Bill C also), Crooked Hillary now criticizes,” Trump tweeted early Wednesday morning.
One tweet is never enough, so Trump later retweeted another popular criticism of Hilliary’s rip on Trump.
“It is the height of hypocrisy,” that tweet said. “Obama and Clinton in effect gave nuclear weapons to North Korea by their policy of appeasement.”
The president was responding to Hillary’s comments about his address to the U.N. General Assembly. She called it “very dark and dangerous.”
“When you face dangerous situations like what is happening in North Korea, to make it clear, your first approach should always be diplomatic,” Clinton said while appearing on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
Clinton continued, ”We view this as dangerous to our allies, to the region, and even to our country. We call on all nations to work with us to try to end the threat posed by Kim Jong Un, and not call him ‘Rocket Man’ — the old Elton John song — but to say it clearly, we will not tolerate any attacks on our friends or ourselves.” Clinton was referring to the president’s newest nickname for the North Korean dictator.
Trump continued in his address to threaten to “totally destroy” North Korea if the country stays on its current path. The president said that Kim’s “reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons … threatens the entire world with unthinkable loss of human life.”
