Trumped By Healthcare? Trump Goes After New Media Outlet

Trump once again denies accusations that he isn’t as involved in the ACA Repeal Bill as Americans would like to see. The Hill reports: President Trump on Wednesday blasted the press for saying he is “not totally engaged” on health care.”Some of the Fake News Media likes to say that I am not totally engaged in healthcare,” Trump tweeted.”Wrong, I know the subject well & want victory for U.S.”

In an earlier tweet, the president specifically targeted The New York Times.”The failing  writes false story after false story about me,” Trump tweeted. “They don’t even call to verify the facts of a story. A Fake News Joke!”

The Times on Tuesday published an article, titled “On Senate Health Bill, Trump Falters in the Closer’s Role,” that claims that the president was “largely on the sidelines” as the Senate leadership sought to attract votes for its healthcare bill. The article says the president’s team’s “heavy-handed tactics have been ineffective in the Senate.”Trump’s latest tweets come a day after the Senate GOP leaders decided to delay a vote on legislation to repeal and replace ObamaCare as it became clear the measure lacked the votes for passage. On Tuesday afternoon, Trump met with Republican senators at the White House, just hours after the GOP leaders decided to postpone the vote on the healthcare legislation.
