Organization Reveals Results of Deadly Gas Attack In Syria & US Officials Make A Stunning Claims

It is now proven, the poison used in the deadly chemical bomb attack in the northern Syrian rebel-held town was the banned nerve agent sarin. It was verified by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons on Friday. The report did not directly put the blame on the Syrian government led by Bashar al-Assad.
The findings were not a surprise, several governments including Turkey and the United States reported that the victims showed the same symptoms that are found when sarin gas is used. President Trump responded to the attacks with a barrage of missiles aimed at significant Syrian targets. The report today confirms that a horrific and banned gas was in fact used against civilians in this six-year-long civil war.
This report also came shortly after President Trump issued warnings that the Syrian government might be preparing for another chemical attack. Monday, the White House said that Syria would “pay a heavy price” if it released chemical weapons in another attack. National security officials have said that the stern warning may have helped stop a new attack.
The findings from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons will be used by a joint team of investigators from the United Nations and the above organization to determine who was responsible for the attack. “I strongly condemn this atrocity, which wholly contradicts the norms enshrined in the Chemical Weapons Convention,” Ahmet Uzumcu, director-general of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, said in a statement. “The perpetrators of this horrific attack must be held accountable for their crimes.”
The attack on the Northern Syrian town killed more than 90 people, including women and children. It created outrage around the world as photos and video of the horror showed quivering children dying on camera. The United States responded firing 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles at an airfield in Syria, hitting Syrian fighter jets, aircraft shelters, radar equipment, ammunition bunkers, fuel storage sites and air defense systems.
The Trump administration had this to say about the new report, “The facts reflect a despicable and highly dangerous record of chemical weapons use by the Assad regime,” the State Department said Thursday evening.
How do you think this report will impact future confrontation with Syria?
