Sarah Huckabee Sanders, White House press secretary, isn’t afraid to say exactly what she thinks. Sanders fired right back at what she called a “ridiculous question” from American Urban Radio Network’s April Ryan.
Ryan, who also serves as a political analyst for CNN, asked if President Trump had given any thought to resignation. After she was called upon, Ryan initially asked a question about the search conducted in the offices of Trump’s personal attorney, Michael Cohen. But instead of following-up that questions, she changed direction:
“With all of this turmoil, particularly this last week, has the president at any time thought about stepping down, before or now?” she asked.
Sanders did not mince words and shot back, “No, and I think that’s an absolutely ridiculous question.”
Other reporters in the room were surprised by the question as well.
David Martosko tweeted this: “OMG. @AprilDRyan just asked the White House press secretary if the president is considering resigning.”

Ryan defended her question to Sanders saying, “No, it’s not ridiculous. It’s not ridiculous. It’s a legitimate question.”
Sanders dismissed her. “I gave you two questions, April. We’re moving on.”
