When President Trump returns to the Oval Office from his international trip, he will indeed face some troubling issues. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) just made a statement reported on Tuesday’s “MSNBC Live” that signals just one of the critical issues the president will face. Graham, the Senate Appropriations Committee member, said that President Trump’s budget is “definitely dead on arrival.”
The Senator said that “You’d have a lot of Benghazi in the making if this thing became law.” Graham said, “Well, yeah, it’s definitely dead on arrival.”
Just to make his point even more clear, Senator Graham said again, “This budget, if fully implemented, would require us to retreat from the world diplomatically or put people at risk. You’d have a lot of Benghazi in the making if this thing became law.”
Some Republican leaders in the Congress have widely rejected President Trump’s budget proposal saying that it was the latest symptom of a sometimes dysfunctional relationship between the Trump administration and Capitol Hill.
What do you think the future is regarding Trump’s budget? How long do you think it will take to get a budget approved? Which branch of government will carry the most leverage? We want to see your comments.
