President Trump let it rip with tweets about Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for standing against the GOP’s latest healthcare bill. He not only posted a message but attached a video of edited clips where McCain repeatedly promises to repeal and replace ObamaCare.
Trump tweeted: “A few of the many clips of John McCain talking about Repealing & Replacing O’Care. My oh, my has he changed-complete turn from years of talk!”
He followed with another tweet: “Democrats are laughingly saying that McCain had a “moment of courage.” Tell that to the people of Arizona who were deceived. 116% increase!”
Due to platform issues with twitter we could not embed the tweet, however, we posted the video below this picture of the President’s tweet.
The video montage shows over and over again promises made by Senator McCain to repeal and replace Obama’s healthcare plan. Trump slams the lawmaker for blocking the possibility for a new healthcare system for the people of Arizona.
You can watch the video here:
The GOP bill’s success must have the narrow support of Republicans. It can only afford to lose two Republican votes if it will get the 50 votes necessary for the law to pass. The bill’s passage seems doomed because of not only McCain. GOP Sens. Rand Paul (Ky.) and Susan Collins have already stated their opposition to the plan.
This will be McCain’s second opportunity to vote down a GOP plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare. He famously gave a “thumbs down” vote in July when his colleagues attempted to pass a slimmed-down version of the former law.
What do you think about the way President Trump has called out McCain’s inconsistency on Twitter?
