Today marks a huge day for the Trump administration and for former FBI director James Comey. In an excerpt from his testimony, Comey stated that the White House lied and defamed him and the FBI. Comey spoke before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence elaborating on how the Trump administration said the FBI was in chaos and how Comey had lost the trust of FBI employees.
Comey responded to those accusations saying, “Those were lies, plain and simple.” He continued talking about how his position was the honor of his life, then went on to address the Bureau. “I am so sorry that I didn’t get the chance to say goodbye to you properly,” Comey said in the hearing.

In response to these statements, Sarah Huckabee Sanders said that President Trump “is not a liar”
I can definitively say the president is not a liar,” Sanders told reporters during an off-camera briefing at the White House. “I think it is frankly insulting that question would be asked.”
