A protest versus violence? What’s the difference? For CNN commentator Symone Sanders, not too much and truth be told, she doesn’t see that the distinction is valid. To her the protests are valid because they are going against hate-speech.
While on CNN discussing the protests in Los Angeles over the anti-Trump protests, Sanders vehemently opposed the idea that neither side of the issue should stand down and be peaceful, instead of burning neighborhoods and inflicting violence upon others.
We can’t call for people to be peaceful when the rhetoric that is being used is not peaceful, when people do not feet peaceful in their homes. Watch the video here:
She goes on to mock an older white man who was attacked by a mob of young black men because he had voted for Donald Trump. She made her comment with no small amount of sarcasm by saying: “Poor white people!”
But really, her mocking, condescending attitude towards an assault victim is nothing new for the activist. As reported by The Rightists, Sanders told CNN:
We as a race deserve payback for centuries of black slavery and if stopping white people in their cars and pulling them out and beating them up in the middle of the street is the way to accomplish that, it’s better than nothing.
Sanders says that violence is never the way as there is “always another solution.” If she really believed that then she would not act the part of the hypocrite and condone violence against other people, simply because of the color of their skin as she does by condoning attacks on white people.
CNN has long been a bastion of left-wing ideology, but to actually hear their commentators come out and espouse racist, intolerant, violent and other even more terrible actions is something that the “news” channel should take a long hard look at.
