2020 Democratic candidates find common ground… Dismissing Hillary Clinton

Multiple 2020 Democratic presidential candidates are throwing their support around fellow candidate Tulsi Gabbard after she was attacked by Hillary Clinton who claimed that the Russians were “grooming” the congresswoman to be a third-party spoiler and potentially even a Russian asset.

“Tulsi is not being groomed by anyone. She is her own person,” former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke said over the weekend.

“Obviously has served this country, continues to serve this country in uniform, in Congress, as a candidate for presidency so I think those facts speak for themselves.”

Included in the naysayers was Entrepreneur Andrew Yang who defended Gabbard, citing her military service as a Hawaii Army National Guard major who served in Iraq saying that she “deserves much more respect and thanks than this.”

“She literally just got back from serving abroad,” Yang tweeted.

Gabbard, who is a Democrat from the island state, has been in a tiff with the former first lady since last week when Clinton commented on a podcast with former Obama adviser David Plouffe last week that she wasn’t “making any predictions, but [thinks Russians] have got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” Fox News reported.

“She’s the favorite of the Russians,” Clinton added and said the Russians “have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”

Gabbard came out of the gate strong on Twitter, calling Clinton the “queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party!”

“Great! Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain,” Gabbard tweeted on Friday.

“From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose.

“It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.”
