There are new polls that apparently reveal the mind and will of the voters in America. But the results are, as usual, up for debate. Forty-nine percent of US voters think President Trump should be impeached and removed out of office. This is just about the same amount of people that thought so a month ago, according to a new Fox News poll.
The poll also revealed that 52 percent of voters believe the impeachment inquiry by Congressional Democrats is “legitimate,” Fox News reported Sunday.
Fox found that the president’s approval rating had dropped to just 42 percent, while 57 percent of voters said they disapproved of Trump’s performance.
The poll did show that Trump supporters are likely to stick by their man. There were 57 percent of those opposed to impeachment who said they wouldn’t change their minds, even if new evidence surfaces.
Along with that information, only 13 percent of voters believed it was “extremely” likely the impeachment would succeed, with 15 percent saying it was “somewhat” likely, and 38 percent saying it was not likely at all.
Last month a Fox poll found that 51 percent of voters wanted impeachment, though an analysis of the poll discovered that it underrepresented Republican and independent voters.
President Trump himself dismissed the results Sunday as he spoke to reporters outside the White House
“You’re reading the wrong polls,” the president said. “Let me tell you, I have the real polls.”
“The CNN polls are fake,” Trump said. “The Fox polls have always been lousy. I tell them they ought to get themselves a new pollster.”
Do these results change the way you think about the impeachment process? Do you believe the results are legitimate? We look forward to seeing your thoughts on this issue. Please leave your comments in the section just below this article.
