“A piece of sh*t” – Susan Rice lets everyone know how she feels about Lindsey Graham

Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice said multiple times during a recent interview released on Wednesday that Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsay Graham was a “piece of sh*t.”

Rice made her comments during a taping of a “Pod Save The World” podcast this week, when she was being asked about Graham and his interactions with specific foreign conflicts.

While her proclamations were definite, the former Obama administration official was teed up, as it were, by former adviser to President Obama, Tommy Vietor, who was also at the interview and used the term to refer to Graham:

“You have to understand Benghazi to understand [President] Trump,” said former deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes in the clip below.

“Right, because Lindsey Graham isn’t just a piece of sh*t now…” Vietor said, before his sentence was finished by Rice.

“He’s been a piece of sh*t,” Rice said. “I said it, damn it, he’s a piece of sh*t.”

Graham, who has traditionally been a huge supporter of President Donald Trump, has gained some favor with Democrats recently for standing against the president on his troop withdrawal from northern Syria:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said last Monday that she and Graham have agreed that there is a need for a bipartisan resolution that would overturn President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw troops from Syria, and would add sanctions on Turkey.

“Pleased to have a conversation with Senator @LindseyGrahamSC this morning. Our first order of business was to agree that we must have a bipartisan, bicameral joint resolution to overturn the President’s dangerous decision in Syria immediately,” Pelosi said in several Monday late morning tweets about the phone call.

She added that Congress also “must put together the strongest bipartisan, bicameral sanctions package similar to the bipartisan bill the House is advancing.”

“As we find ourselves in a situation where the President gave a green light to the Turks to bomb and effectively unleashed ISIS, we must have a stronger sanctions package than what the White House is suggesting,” Pelosi said.

Senator Graham tweeted just hours before Pelosi, saying also saying that the pair had planned to work on a deal that would secure what they believed to be much-needed intervention to protect allies in the region.

“Just spoke with Speaker Pelosi regarding congressional action on Turkey’s incursion of Syria. Speaker supports bipartisan sanctions against Turkey’s outrages in Syria. She also believes we should show support for Kurdish allies and is concerned about the reemergence of ISIS.

“I will be working across party lines in a bicameral fashion to draft sanctions and move quickly, appreciating President Trump’s willingness to work with the Congress. The Speaker indicated to me that time was of the essence.”
