Matt Drudge just went after Steve Bannon today by writing this scandalous headline in the lead story: “BANNON TURNS ON JUDGE WHORE.” In a Tweet, Drudge linked the article in The Daily Beast entitled: “Steve Bannon and Allies Have Second Thoughts About Roy Moore, Sources Say.”
Bannon tried to squashed the “fake news” stating clearly his position: “This is just another desperate attempt by Mitch McConnell to keep power, and it’s not going to work,” Bannon said on Monday’s episode of Breitbart News Daily. “You know, people in Alabama see through this. The good folks of Alabama are going to be able to weigh and measure this… This is an orchestrated hit from the Uniparty.”
On the inside track, there are sources that are reporting that Bannon has begun to ask around his inner circle to see what they think about the allegations against Moore. It’s possible that Bannon is getting nervous about his hand-picked candidate in Alabama. The stories that indicate that Moore was a predator of underage girls have not been proven false. It’s being reported that Bannon even sent two of his people to Alabama to try and undermine the credibility of the women making the accusations.
But the White House correspondent for Bannon’s Breitbart News tweeted out a contradiction of the Drudge article writing: “Pretty sure that Bannon hasn’t turned on Judge Moore…”
Drudge hasn’t taken down its headline, but they did add a question mark to their headline:
