The FBI Will Be Investigating Hillary’s Emails … Just One HUGE Problem!

In the latest twist of perhaps the biggest October surprise in recent election history, the Department of Justice announced on Monday that it will conduct its own investigation into the use of a private server used by Democratic Party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton during her tenure as Secretary of State.

Of particular concern are the emails recently obtained by the FBI during their investigation into former Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-NY, who is married to top Clinton aide Huma Abedin. Abedin had previously been ordered to turn over all devices and emails pertaining to the Clinton investigation to the FBI.

The latest reports indicate that the number of emails discovered by the FBI on a laptop shared by Weiner and Abedin could be as high as 650,000. Thousands of those were sent from Abedin using the private server set up by Clinton.

This investigation will be done in coordination with the reopened FBI investigation.

“We assure you that the Department will continue to work closely with the FBI and together, dedicate all necessary resources and take appropriate steps as expeditiously as possible,” Assistant Attorney General Peter J. Kadzik, who is leading the investigation, wrote in a letter to House and Senate leaders.

There is one huge problem with this, however. Kadzik reportedly has close ties to John Podesta, Clinton’s long-time friend, political operative, and current campaign chairman.

Hacked emails released by WikiLeaks illustrate just how deep the relationship between Podesta and Kadzik goes. They were classmates at Georgetown Law School. Kadzik was Podesta’s attorney during the Monica Lewinsky scandal. One WikiLeaks email from Podesta states that Kadzik is a “fantastic lawyer. Kept me out of jail.”

WikiLeaks emails make it clear that  John Podesta dined with Kadzik just one day after Clinton testified regarding her knowledge and role in the Benghazi investigation. Kadzik also reportedly asked Podesta to help his son get a job within the Clinton campaign.

This is not the first time that we have seen the apparent conflict of interest between those investigating Clinton and her campaign. In July, former President Bill Clinton met privately with Attorney General Loretta Lynch just days before the initial investigation into Clinton’s email practices was closed.

At this point in the election, we should all be finalizing who and what issues we will vote for. But this latest investigation is no doubt clouding the minds of many undecided voters. And now we see the big picture of this current investigation. Kadzik, Podesta’s good friend, will be a leader in the investigation into his friend’s boss, Hillary Clinton.

Even the appearance of such bias should be enough to raise eyebrows. We can all hope and pray that this new investigation into Clinton’s email practices will be conducted professionally and thoroughly. But we must also question the involvement of investigators who are so clearly biased.
