Fmr FBI Director James Comey Shows His True Colors On Election Day

Former FBI director James Comey posted to social media that he is out doing his civic duty today.

The former law enforcement officer posted the obligatory “I just voted” selfie on Twitter, and also announced that he was off to canvas, encouraging others to do the same.

Comey, whose career has been fraught with turmoil, was suddenly fired by President Donald Trump and has since been a harsh critic of his administration.

Due to his assistance in the demise of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, by recommending more investigation into her, the left isn’t too fond of the former FBI director either.

However, Comey was identified as campaigning for Democratic congressional candidate Jennifer Wexton, by a communications staffer for Virginia Senator Tim Kaine.

Staffer Ian Sams posted a picture with the caption that, “someone is seeking atonement …” seeming to indicate that Comey is trying to undo what he did when he announced Clinton’s email scandal, which probably lost her the 2016 presidential election.

Comey’s support for Wexton is expected, considering that he made a donation of 2,700 to her campaign just weeks ago, according to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

In July of this year, the former FBI director announced via Twitter that he would be supporting Democrats across the board, in hopes of negating the effects of the Trump administration, and it’s policies.

“This Republican Congress has proved incapable of fulfilling the Founders’ design that ‘Ambition must … counteract ambition,’” Comey tweeted.

“ All who believe in this country’s values must vote for Democrats this fall. Policy differences don’t matter right now. History has its eyes on us.”

While Comey appears to be firmly in the Democratic camp, the Daily Mail reported that his allegiance might not be welcome and that, several prominent Democrats hold Comey’s actions in the 2016 election directly against him.
