Meltdown: McCain thinks it’s time for Ivanka to publicly break with her father

Host of ABC’s “The View” took serious exception to President Donald Trump’s engagement with several ultra-progressive congresswomen in which he retaliated against their unrelenting calls for his impeachment and the overthrowing of government agencies with a challenge to fix the problems in countries whose citizens they advocate for, and in once case were born in, before telling him how to run the nation.

His comments were branded racist and even sexist by the women of “The View” including self-described conservative Meghan McCain, were outraged.

“When you are telling any American citizen of a different color than you, to send them back, I too didn’t think this is something you would see, especially going into 2020,” said McCain.

“And let me tell you, Republicans right now, we may be in power and have popularity, and Trump’s numbers may be very high, but it’s my generation going to answer to this. Try serving that to a younger generation when all they see is this kind of crap on TV.”

The late Sen. John McCain’s daughter went on: “And the Trump administration. Ivanka and Jared, because you’re in my age range, where are you in this? If my parents were doing this, let me tell you…” The host was forced to stop, as she was interrupted by applause.

Co-host Joy Behar echoed McCain’s opinions, chiming in:

“It’s Republicans to speak now. I don’t know what else to say. We have been railing against this guy, and, you know, and the Republican party just falls in line behind him. They don’t say anything,” said an exasperated Behar.

Lindsey Graham apologizes for him. McConnell, who has a wife is an immigrant, apologizes.”

In addition to the issue of race being considered by the hosts the key factor, they also introduced the potential offense of gender playing a role:

“Let’s get to that point because that’s really — and that — that really does involve people, women in particular, who critique this, which is our right,” said Whoopi Goldberg.

“This is one of the great rights of the United States. You can say what you want to say, okay? He can say what he wants to say, but see, if we say something like that, and it sounds like we’re talking about violence, we can get in deep doo-doo.”

The comments which landed the Commander-in-Chief in the hot seat were from a series of tweets that he sent on Sunday:

“So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run,” Trump tweeted earlier in the week.

“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done.

“These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”
