President Attacks the ‘Deep State’ This Morning After Announcement of Special Prosecutor

This morning the president tweeted how he feels about the appointment of a special prosecutor which was announced last night. The President voiced his opinion this morning, and for those wondering yes he did misspell counsel.

On Wednesday evening Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed a special prosecutor. The President did release an official statement after the announcement:

“As I have stated many times, a thorough investigation will confirm what we already know – there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity,” Trump said in a statement.

“I look forward to this matter concluding quickly,” he added. “In the meantime, I will never stop fighting for the people and the issues that matter most to the future of our country.”

Hopefully, with the announcement of a special prosecutor, this will all be coming to an end shortly regardless of the outcome. We can only hope that once this investigation is complete, the country can move on. However, the president does have a point many on the right are asking where was the special prosecutor for the Lois Lerner case? Where was the special prosecutor to investigate Benghazi when a US Ambassador was killed? In fairness, they raise a valid point.

Do you agree with the appointment of a special prosecutor?
