Ben Rhodes, the former foreign policy advisor for Obama, just took a jab at President Donald Trump on Wednesday. It came after he learned that the White House had revoked former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance.
Rhodes referenced Brennan’s involvement in the raid that killed the 9/11 terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Obama’s former policy advisor appeared to suggest that Brennan was above reproach.
Rhodes tweeted: “John Brennan was the point person for the Obama White House on the operation that killed Osama bin Laden. He knows a lot more about defending our nation than someone who uses security clearances to punish his political adversaries.”

This did not go unnoticed. Robert O’Neill, the SEAL Team 6 member who went public as the one who fired the shots that killed Bin Laden, shot right back at Rhodes. He made an apparent reference to the other operators who fought in the mission alongside of him.
O’Neill tweeted back: “Actually, @brhodes , 23 conservatives went after UBL. No offense, in case you were wondering.”

O’Neill previously called out President Obama in 2015 for his “lack of strategy” in dealing with ISIS. The former SEAL has also not been shy about criticizing President Trump, particularly regarding his plan to hold a military parade.
A military parade is third world bullshit. We prepare. We deter. We fight. Stop this conversation.

What do you think about O’Neill’s reponse to Rhodes?
